Week 47
Dear Friends,
We are in the home stretch! WOW! Have you fallen behind? Well, let me tell you that you are not alone! :) We have had our off days... weeks... and almost month! Catching up can be overwhelming. Instead pick up on TODAY. And remember to not let your perfectionist guilt drive you to give up all together. God's word has so much LIFE in it even if you can only dedicate 2 minutes to reading.
And by the way, you may have noticed that the book of Acts runs parallel in content with the other books in the New Testament. Corinthians, Romans, Galatians... these are all names of cities. The books that we are reading are letters written to these cities, that is why we see a greeting at the beginning of each one. The book of Acts was written by Luke, he is in essence narrating events that took place in the early church. And the letters were mostly written by Paul. Isn't it cool to read about Paul visiting these cities in Acts and then to read a letter that he wrote to them! That's the beauty of God's word.
