Home » Get To Know Us » History In 1988 a group of eighteen people from across the northwest Chicago suburbs had a vision to start Harvest Bible Chapel. The church met in Rolling Meadows with James MacDonald as the Senior Pastor. Today, over 10,000 people call this church their home as they worship Christ together on three campuses.

In 2000 Harvest planted their first church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and announced the vision to start 10 churches in 10 years. Harvest Bible Fellowship was formed to edify, protect, encourage, and support these new churches. God continues to raise up Harvest Bible Chapels throughout the world.

The public launch of Harvest Bible Chapel Gurnee came on September 9, 2007.  What began with a small gathering of 35 adults has grown into an establihed and faithful ministry making mature followers of Jesus Christ.  We are excited to be witnessing God’s life-changing power at work in the northern Lake County region.  To be part of the God's story through Harvest, please contact us at .
